Foundations is a foundational style with a mix of passive and challenging postures with a focus on the poses (asanas) and principles of alignment in yoga. This is perfect class for those who are new to yoga, or are returning after a period of time. Our studio has a lovely selection of blocks, bolsters and straps to support you in your practice.
Level: Learner
Benefits: If you're new to yoga, it can seem intimidating. Between the "performance" of yoga we see on social media, and the overwhelming array of class options, it can be easy to not know how to begin. Yoga is for everyone, and flexibility is not a requirement to start. In fact, flexibility is not the point. The point of yoga is to meet your body where you are, in that moment. As you develop your practice, over time, you may discover that your body moves more fluidly in daily life.
